THE BRAND REFRESH

Teachable is an online learning platform that empowers creators to build and sell a variety of knowledge products. The company has now been around for over 10 years which is why they were looking for a complete brand refresh.

I was tasked with leading the design team in rethinking Teachable’s visual identity. We dug deep into the design ecosystem and implemented significant changes across every channel that gave the brand an entirely new look and feel.

WEB

The marketing site needed a makeover as it lacked a dynamism felt across the refreshed design work.

I led the design efforts behind the homepage redesign and worked with the team to create new product imagery across the site that better showcases the product’s capabilities.

CAMPAIGNS

Sales campaigns and new creator relations initiatives presented great opportunities to reveal the evolved visual system to our audience.

It was my responsibility to make sure the creative felt engaging and in-line with the new brand personality.

SECONDARY PALETTE

The design team felt the brand’s primary palette was feeling too restrictive. The need for a more expressive secondary palette was clear, and I worked with the team to implement a more expansive palette into the brand guidelines.

The secondary palette provided more personality and pop. It opened the door to new stylized product imagery, illustration, and social templates.

EVENTS

Virtual and in-person events are a huge part of Teachable’s efforts to continually engage with and support creators. These events require specific branding that needs to expand from web and email to print pieces and merch.
